My Slimming World blog: The challenge

Our tree went up, the twinkly lights switched on and that was olst — I settled into the festive spirit. I will get back on track this week — my goal is to lose 2lbs. Instead of using oil mixed with the egg yolk I made the dressing with water and natural yogurt.

I love Thai flavours and I made a speedy rice stir worod with some fresh flavours, mixed with a pack of savoury rice and some store-cupboard ingredients such as fish sauce and lemongrass paste. Supermarket sweep New in my shopping basket this week are Syn-free Mug Shot Soups for a handy fill-a-hole snack. The red sauce you can see in the pic is a chilli paste called gochugang, but you can use any spicy chilli sauce to add an extra kick. Dinner date-night Not a social life low, but it should count as a diet low as I well and truly ditched it!

Whoop, whoop! The information is so true… you get used to it that sometimes we forget the detail. There are plenty of tasty fish and shellfish dishes to enjoy and I had an amazing rib-eye steak at the Mariners in Rock — and I ordered it with no chips this is a first for me. Why can’t I lose weight?

And it did give me a boost. If your body is telling you that it is hungry then perhaps you should listen to it. A side salad, broccoli, carrots and other speed veg make a great accompaniment. Go through this list of speed foods and find the ones you love. Anyway, I got away with a maintain.
